The first day of the self-imposed challenge served the following brief: "Design a small banner ad for a place near to you". I chose playwrights Bar & Bistro as they have just opened a new branch in my neighbourhood. It is an incredibly cosy and welcoming place and more people should know about this gem of coventry.
The minimalist design and colour-scheme fit both the sophistication and simplicity of the place. I have decided not to use their logo, but instead craft a simpler one, in order not to crowd the design. Additionally, this banner should be specific and not confounded with the same place in the city centre.
